The Puffin Foundation West (also known as Puffin West) is a private foundation based in Columbus, Ohio, that primarily gives grants to apolitical nonprofits with an artistic focus, with occasional grants going to left-of-center groups. Background

Puffin West’s founding is unknown, although IRS ruled on its non-exempt status in 2010. 2 Puffin West has officially announced that starting in 2020, it would only give grants to organizations in the following states due to its limited funding capacities: Ohio, North Carolina, Indiana, Kentucky, Michigan, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, South Carolina, Georgia, Tennessee and Virginia. 3
