    Activities

The Pro-Life Action League’s primary form of pro-life activism is abortion clinic witness activities, which include prayer vigils, sidewalk counseling, providing resources and abortion alternatives to pregnant women, and bearing witness to the value of life of aborted babies. 1 Pro-Life Action League provides guidance for activists to host prayer vigils and recommends specific activities, like singing hymns or reading scriptures. It also recommends bringing in clergy representing different denominations, making sure the vigil site is on public property, and holding extended or multiday vigils. 3

The Pro-Life Action League claims that Planned Parenthood is a threat to women and babies, and regularly hosts protests, prayer vigils, and sidewalk counseling at the Aurora, Illinois, location. The Pro-Life Action League supports local churches that recruit individuals to pray across the street from the Aurora Planned Parenthood’s entrance and encourages volunteers to take part in its 40 Days For Life campaigns. The Pro-Life Action League provides training videos and tools for individuals to become sidewalk counselors in order to further its efforts to prevent abortion. 4

The Pro-Life Action League seeks provides facts and statistics about abortion and the abortion industry and testimonials from former abortion providers who have switched to opposing the practice. 5 Pro-Life Action League also provides a list of questions and answers for pro-life activists to use in response to pro-choice arguments. The Pro-Life Action League claims more Americans believe abortion is morally wrong and identify as pro-life than pro-choice, that a fetus is a human being, that the life of a disabled baby is of no less value than that of a healthy baby, and that pro-life activists do not value the life of an unborn baby over that of the mother. 6
