The Paul and Emily Singer Family Foundation was founded in 2008 by Paul N. Singer (not to be confused with hedge-fund manager Paul E. Singer) and his wife Emily Singer. 1
Grantmaking
The Paul and Emily Singer Family Foundation provides support to nonprofit organizations primarily in the Mid-Atlantic region of the U.S. based on the determination of its board of trustees and advisors. The Foundation aims to provide funding to worthy recipients in the areas of arts and culture, education, environmental conservation, humanitarian issues, and animal concerns. 1
In 2023, some of the Paul and Emily Singer Family Foundation’s largest donations went to the Jewish Federation of Palm Beach ($74,000), Weekend Backpacks for Homeless Kids ($15,000), Temple Beth Shalom ($10,000), and the Chesapeake Bay Foundation ($5,000). 2
Funding
The Paul and Emily Singer Family Foundation is funded by Paul and Emily Singer who contributed $1 million in 2008 at the organization’s onset. In subsequent years, Paul and Emily Singer have contributed smaller amounts. 3
Leadership
Paul N. Singer (not to be confused with hedge fund manager Paul E. Singer) and Emily Singer are the co-founders of the Paul and Emily Singer Family Foundation. 4
