The New Hope Foundation is a private foundation based in Muscatine, Iowa that supports educational, religious, and evangelistic causes. 1
Financials
The New Hope Foundation discloses some of its contributors through its tax filings. The Public Interest Institute contributed $6 million in 2017 2 and $99,098 in 2018, when it ceased operations and liquidated its assets. 3 Additional contributions have come from the estates of David M. Stanley and Jean Leu Stanley, 4 a former Republican member of the Iowa state legislature and his wife, respectively, both of whom served on the board of directors of the New Hope Foundation. 5
The New Hope Foundation makes charitable donations to many organizations in Muscatine, Iowa and across the country in support of social services, education, free enterprise, evangelism, pregnancy support, and community development. 1
In 2022, the New Hope Foundation also made contributions to right-of-center and right-leaning advocacy organizations including Alliance Defending Freedom ($27,500), the Becket Fund for Religious Liberty ($3,000), the Ethics and Public Policy Center ($1,000), and the Family Research Council ($1,000). 1

Andrea S. Wells is the president of the New Hope Foundation 6 and the former secretary of the board of the Public Interest Institute. 7
Robert H. Solt is the chair of the board of the New Hope Foundation 6 and the president of Tax Education Support Organization. 8 Solt is the former chair of the board of the Public Interest Institute. 7
Christopher Ingstad is the treasurer of the board of the New Hope Foundation, 6 the president of the Iowans for Tax Relief Foundation, 9 and an employee of the Tax Education Support Organization. 8
Richard R. Phillips is the assistant treasurer of the board of the New Hope Foundation, the vice president of the Iowans for Tax Relief Foundation, 10 and the vice president of the Tax Education Support Organization. 8
Peter Voorhees is the chair of the board of the Tax Education Support Organization. 8
