Iowa Citizen Action Network Education Foundation (ICAN EF) is an educational and philanthropic partner organization of the left-of-center Iowa Citizen Action Network that advocates for changes to public policy. 1 ICAN EF states it has “united Iowa’s progressives” for “progressive change,” which includes support for maintaining Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security. 2
Activities
Iowa Citizen Action Network Education Foundation provides organizational, research, and educational materials, networks, and training. 2 These resources are provided to its partner organization, Iowa Citizen Action Network, as well as its coalition partners and affiliates, to facilitate issue campaigns. 2
ICAN EF engages in voter contact efforts to assess public policy priorities and provide informational materials. 2 ICAN EF works with other organizations to build voter coalitions and to inform voters of present public policies. 2
