Spending
In February 2023, author Robert Bryce published “The Anti-Industry Industry: What the media won’t tell you about the $4.5 billion-per-year NGO-corporate-industrial-climate complex.” In the article, he detailed how the overwhelming majority of the money involved in the energy and climate debate in the U.S. today is not on the side of traditional energy producers, mentioning the Interstate Natural Gas Association of America as one such lobbying group for traditional energy. Bryce showed through public records that the annual expenditures for the top 25 anti-hydrocarbon and anti-nuclear NGOs had total revenue of about $4.5 billion whereas the amounts raised by the top 25 non-profit associations that represent hydrocarbon producers (including INGAA), the nuclear energy industry, along with their allies in the think tank sector, was only $990 million. 8

Interstate Natural Gas Association of America is led by president and CEO Amy Andryszak. Andryszak was previously chief of staff for former U.S. Representative Jim Matheson (D-UT), who served on the House Energy and Commerce Committee while she worked for him.
