History
The Henningson Engineering Company Foundation (or HDR Foundation) is a left-of-center philanthropy associated with HDR Inc., an architecture and engineering firm. The nonprofit provides grants to support both nonprofits and communities. 1
HDR Foundation was established in 2012 by Former HDR Chairman Eric Keen. Since 2020, the HDR Foundation has expanded internationally, launching the HDR Canada Fund in 2020, the HDR Australia Fund in 2021, and the HDR United Kingdom Fund in 2022 to support charitable initiatives in those regions. 2
Leadership
Since February 2025, Stefanie Mosteller became HDR Foundation Executive Director. Previously, she served as HDR’s strategic planning director during her 16-year tenure within the company. 3
Funding
In December 2024, the HDR Foundation awarded over $11 million in grants to over 350 nonprofit organizations. 4
