Election Integrity Project California (EIPCa) is a nonprofit organization that aims to defend the right of U.S. citizens to vote in honest, fair elections. To this end, EIPCa uses education, research, and advocacy to carry out its mission to ensure the integrity of U.S. elections. 1

Background

Election Integrity Project California (EIPCa) is a nonprofit organization that aims to defend the right of U.S. citizens to vote in honest, fair elections. 1

EIP Action is a related 501(c)(4) nonprofit of Election Integrity Project California. Election Integrity Project Arizona LLC, Election Integrity Project Arkansas LLC, and Election Integrity Project Nevada LLC were declared as formally disregarded entities of EIPCa. These organizations were last reported in IRS filings for tax year 2021. 2

Activities

Election Integrity Project California aims to ensure that U.S. elections are honest, with each lawfully cast vote counted fairly, and all voting processes compliant with federal, state, and local laws, statutes, and regulations. EIPCa’s goal is to enable U.S. citizens to become active participants in all parts of the election process. 1

Election Integrity Project California provides educational resources to citizens, including information about the California election code and legislative process, legislative alerts requiring citizen action, and concerns about vote by mail, provisional ballots, and voter fraud. EIPCa also publishes legislative position letters, either supporting or opposing California Assembly and Senate bills. 3

Election Integrity Project California encourages individuals to call and email the state’s Elections Committee Office in support or opposition of bills, along with calls and emails to both the Capitol and District Offices. Citizens can also sign up to receive notifications about significant bills through EIPCa’s California Action for Legislative Accountability program. 4

Election Integrity Project California allows citizens to report accounts of potential fraud or corruption in the California election process, whether they were witnesses or victims of the incident. EIPCa works with citizen groups, volunteers, and eyewitnesses to provide documentation to state and federal level attorneys so that appropriate actions to safeguard the election process can be taken. 5

Funding

Election Integrity Project California is funded by donations from individuals, foundations, and businesses. While EIPCa does not disclose its donors, tax filings confirm donations from the Lynde and Harry Bradley Foundation ($25,000 in 2020), 6 Donor Advised Charitable Giving ($18,300 in 2021), 7 and the Gardner Grout Foundation ($10,000 in 2022). 8
