Not to be confused with the New Venture Fund project Election Integrity Fund, a left-leaning fundraising group

Election Integrity Fund is a 501(c)(4) right-leaning election integrity watchdog group. It was formed ahead of the 2020 election to help prevent fraudulent voting. 1 It played a role in the post-election legal challenges to the results. 2

It is affiliated with the Election Integrity Force, another right-leaning election integrity group. The two groups purport to be a single organization. 3

Background

According to tax filings, the Election Integrity Fund was incorporated as a 501(c)(4) tax-exempt organization effectively on July 20, 2022. 4

Activities

The original website for the Election Integrity Fund listed a set of principles to review elections for fraudulent activity, which included: ensuring that only citizens vote, that each citizen votes only once per election, that each voter is that actual person they are registered as, that every vote is counted, and that each election is conducted in a way that makes a recount possible. 5

According to a Fox 17 Online article, Election Integrity Fund hosted a rally outside of Michigan’s Capitol demanding an audit of the 2020 election in October 2021. The article also reported that the Fund was recruiting volunteers for a door-to-door search for evidence of voter fraud. 6

As of April 2022, Election Integrity Fund boasted that it had helped coordinate 83 Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests to access data from all of Michigan’s counties’ voting machines, that it trained hundreds of poll challengers for the 2020 election, raised funds and recruited volunteers to deal with the Antrim County voter certification process, and played roles in developing other states’ election integrity efforts. 7

Leadership

Sandy Kiesel is the executive director of Election Integrity Fund. She has a professional background in engineering and the corporate world. Randy Schiffer, an electrical engineer and military veteran, works as the group’s technology director. Debi Haas, a Michigan-based event planner and business manager, is the board president. 8

Janice Daniels is one of the founding members of Election Integrity Fund. Daniels was one of the founders of the Troy Tea Party of Troy, Michigan and also served as the mayor of Troy in 2011 until she was recalled for controversial comments shortly thereafter. 9 10
