Overview

East Valley Indivisibles is a left-progressive nonprofit voter outreach, agitation, and get out the vote organization based in Sherman Oaks, California and active in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles. It is a chapter of the left-of-center activist and agitation organization Indivisible Project. 2

The organization works to elect Democratic Party candidates in California and across the nation. It also works to promote liberal advocacy on the state, local, and national level. In addition to endorsing and helping to elect candidates in the Los Angeles area, the organization campaigns for Democrats across the country. 3

The organization campaigns for Democratic candidates both in-person and remotely. It conducts door to door canvassing in the Los Angeles area for endorsed candidates to local and state offices and conducts a text banking operation for Democratic Party candidates nationwide. 4 It also conducts letter and postcard campaigns and phone banking on behalf of Democrats in swing districts. 5

The organization’s website offers pre-filled out online forms to email public officials to express an opinion on issues of importance to the organization. The organization also promotes writing a letter to the editor of local newspapers to advocate for its important causes. 6

As of August 2022, the organization promoted prosecuting former President Donald Trump, eliminating the filibuster to guarantee a federal right to abortion, and to recruit for the so-called “Indivisible Truth Brigade” which would promote left-wing propaganda in order to combat “misinformation.” 7
