Policy Advocacy
The Docs 4 Patient Care Foundation has analyzed health care issues and policy. The group works with national healthcare policy advocates, members of Congress, state legislators, business experts, and the media. 3
The Docs 4 Patient Care Foundation made a “Doctors Wish List for Health Care Reform” that calls for changes the group says would help lower prices. 2

Leadership
Lee Gross is the president of the Docs for Patient Care Foundation. Gross also co-founded and is senior vice president of Epiphany Health, a medical practice located in North Port and Arcadia, Florida. Gross is a founding member of the North Port Community Health Action Team, a group advocating for improvements to health and wellness. 2 Gross earned his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University and is board-certified in family medicine. He is on the board of trustees of Fawcett Memorial Hospital and is the president of the Florida Chapter of Docs4PatientCare. 5
Mike Koriwchak is the vice president of the Docs 4 Patient Care Foundation. A graduate of Duke University School of Medicine, he is board certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery. He previously worked in Atlanta as a doctor for Ear, Nose and Throat of Georgia, practicing Laryngology, Thyroid/Parathyroid Surgery, Endoscopic Sinus Surgery and General Otolaryngology. 5
Hal Scherz is the founder and secretary of the Docs 4 Patient Care Foundation. 4 Scherz is a pediatric urologist at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and is an assistant professor at Emory University. He is also a managing partner of Georgia Pediatric Urology and is a former president of the American Association of Pediatric Urologists. 5
