In 2025, Blue Compass conducted a survey with 150 interviewees that found that nearly 40 percent of Jewish workers at non-Jewish organizations had witnessed antisemitism at work and 41 percent felt uncomfortable expressing their Jewish identity in professional settings. 5

    Activities

Blue Compass maintains a member network of secular Jewish nonprofit organizations that claim to combat antisemitism. Individuals and organizations can join the group’s Compass Connect membership program which grants its members access to the Hub, a library of educational resources on combatting antisemitism in secular nonprofit work. 6  7  3 Blue Compass also offers leadership training for explicitly identity-based groups that seek to become affiliate partners within the network. 8 The group has also launched Regional Compass Collectives in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area to connect pro-Jewish nonprofit groups in major urban centers. 9

In December 2025, Blue Compass conducted a survey with 150 interviewees on rising antisemitism in the secular nonprofit world, especially following the October 7, 2023 Hamas terrorist attacks against the state of Israel. 10 The report purported to have found that nearly 35 percent Jewish nonprofit workers working for non-Jewish nonprofits have considered leaving their jobs and that nearly 40 percent of workers have witnessed antisemitism at work. The survey also concluded that 41 percent of Jewish nonprofit employees feel uncomfortable expressing their Jewish identity at professional events. In response to the report’s conclusions, Blue Compass planned several in-person conferences and convenings that aimed to address the alleged rise in antisemitism across the nonprofit sector. 5  11 12

In December 2025, Blue Compass released a report “Jewish Professionals in Secular Nonprofits: Experiences, Challenges, and Support Needs,” which alleged a survey showing roughly 1/3 of Jewish respondents had considered leaving their positions in nonprofit organizations due to antisemitic treatment in the workplace. The report also alleged that in 2025 roughly 40 percent of respondents had “witnessed antisemitic statements or behavior at work” while another 41 percent admitted feeling “uncomfortable expressing their Jewish identity at professional events” and another 1/3 admitted “they felt the same discomfort in their own organizations.” 13 14
