Omeed Malik is the founder and CEO of Farvahar Partners, the president of 1789 Capital, and the chair and CEO of Colombier Acquisition Corp. Malik is a minority owner of the right-of-center media outlet Daily Caller, a member of the board of Fannie Mae, and is a former term member of the Council on Foreign Relations. 1

Omeed Malik is a former Democratic donor who in 2019 became a supporter of President Donald Trump and the Republican Party.  2 Malik is a co-owner of the Executive Branch, a high-end private club in Washington, D.C. that was established in 2025. Membership in the club is by invitation only and is reported to cost more than $500,000. 3

Education and Early Career

Omeed Malik graduated from Colgate University with a bachelor’s degree in philosophy and political science in 2001. Malik received his law degree from Emory University School of Law in 2006.  1

Malik worked for four years as a corporate lawyer for Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP in New York before becoming the senior vice president of MF Global, a now-defunct New York-based commodities brokerage firm. Malik went on to become a managing director and the global head of the hedge fund advisory business at Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he also founded and led the emerging manager program within the global equities business.  4

Farvahar Partners

Omeed Malik is the founder and CEO of Farvahar Partners, a boutique merchant bank based in Palm Beach, Florida. Farvahar Partners invests partner capital in growth businesses and acts as a liquidity provider for private investments. Farvahar Partners also provides its clients with advisory, investment banking, and capital-raising services. 5

1789 Capital

Omeed Malik is a co-founder of the growth equity investment firm 1789 Capital alongside Christopher Buskirk, co-founder of the Rockbridge Network, and Rebekah Mercer, director of the Mercer Family Foundation. The firm provides financing to conservative-leaning businesses in what it calls the “Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Growth (EIG)” economy. 1789 Capital opposes the standards of environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) activism and related investing. 6

Donald Trump Jr., co-founder of the Rockbridge Network and son of President Donald Trump, joined 1789 Capital in 2024 instead of taking a position in the second Trump administration. 7

Political Views

Omeed Malik is a former Democratic donor. Malik donated to Hillary Clinton’s 2016 presidential campaign, to Rep. Joe Kennedy III’s (D-RI) congressional campaigns, and to Joe Biden’s 2020 presidential campaign. 2

On July 29, 2019, Malik contributed to the Trump Victory PAC, his first of several to Donald Trump’s 2020 presidential campaign. Malik has since made contributions to the Republican National Committee, the senatorial campaigns of Vice President J.D. Vance and Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX), and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis’s (R) Restore Our Nation PAC. In 2024, Malik contributed to the Trump 47 Committee, the Trump National Committee JCF, and the Save America PAC in support of President Donald Trump’s presidential campaign.  2

In an August 2025 article by Gabe Kaminsky in The Free Press, Malik described feeling abandoned and betrayed by the Democratic Party, calling the Party’s views on issues like #MeToo, Black Lives Matter, COVID-19, and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) policies antithetical to essential American ideals. Regarding switching political sides, Malik said “I had no choice but to do what I did.” 8
