Political Views
Aside from Louise Reese’s reported political contributions, which have all gone to Democratic candidates and institutions in recent years, Louise Reese does not have an extensive record of public comments on politics. 2 The David E. Reese Family Foundation, where she is listed as vice president and secretary of the board, has mostly focused on non-political charitable causes to David’s Reese’s alma mater and health-related institutions. The foundation appears to be in the process of gradually ending operations, as it liquidated nearly $10 million in assets in 2023. 1 3

In the early 2000s, Louise Reese made some contributions to Republican candidates, notably $2,000 across two separate contributions to then-U.S. Representative Jim Kolbe’s (R-AZ) 2000 congressional campaign and $2,000 to the Bush-Cheney 2004 campaign. However, in 2023 and 2024, Reese made numerous contributions to Democratic candidates. This included $5,000 to the Arizona Democratic party, as well as the U.S. Senate race of then-U.S. Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ), Democratic U.S. House candidate Marlene Galan-Woods (D-AZ), U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar (D-MN), and then-U.S. Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-OH). 2
