Eliot Cohen is an author, political science professor, and director of the Strategic Studies Program at Johns Hopkins University. Cohen was counselor for U.S. Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice during the George W. Bush administration. He is a contributing editor at the Atlantic, adjunct senior fellow at the Center for a New American Security, and a board member for the nominally libertarian Niskanen Center. ¹
