Donna F. Edwards is a political activist and former Democratic member of Congress representing Maryland’s 4th Congressional District from 2008 to 2017. Edwards is the former executive director of the Arca Foundation and former president and co-founder of the Proteus Action League.

She ran in the Democratic primary for a U.S. Senate seat from Maryland in 2016, but lost to now-Senator Chris Van Hollen (D).
