Trans Women of Color Solidarity Network was registered as a tax-exempt nonprofit organization by the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) in 2023. According to its determination letter, the organization is based in Seattle, Washington. 2
As of 2023, Trans Women of Color Solidarity Network was listed as a fiscally sponsored project of the Alliance for Global Justice (AfGJ), a far-left advocacy and sponsorship organization. AFGJ has been criticized for close alignment with authoritarian regimes in Latin America and Asia. 4 5
Activities
Trans Women of Color Solidarity Network runs local advocacy campaigns on behalf of transgender communities, “femmes,” people who identify as “Two-Spirit,” and “people of color” within Washington state. In February 2025, Trans Women of Color Solidarity Network led an advocacy campaign to reinstate gender-reassignment surgery for “trans youth” at Seattle Children’s Hospital. It produced a slideshow detailing how supporters could get involved, such as by calling or emailing the hospital, the state Attorney General’s office, and state legislators. 6
