Stronger Together Fund is a grant making fund housed within the Tides Foundation. It is directed by staff and an outside advisory board, and it exclusively makes unrestricted general support grants to fiscally sponsored partners of the Tides Foundation. ¹

Founding and History

The Stronger Together Fund was formed in 2019 as part of a group of pooled funds that the Tides Foundation established to focus on specific issue areas. Tides claims that contributing to the various funds will allow donations to be better leveraged than had the donation been made directly to one group or another. The Stronger Together Fund is focused on supporting the over 150 fiscally sponsored partner organizations in the Tides network (also known as the Tides Nexus). As of July 2025, its webpage states that it has provided $2.4 million across 109 unrestricted grants. ³

Organization Philosophy

The Stronger Together Fund is focused on providing general support grants to the over 150 fiscally sponsored partner groups in the Tides network (also known as the Tides Nexus). The fund emphasizes that is supports BIPOC (black, indigenous, people of color) groups that are focused on fighting “structural inequities.” ^{1 4}
