The Resilient Elections Network is a coalition of left-of-center groups advocating for election reform and has been listed as a trade name of the Sixteen Thirty Fund. 1 The Resilient Elections Network was created in March of 2024 as part of a larger strategy to oppose a potential incoming second Trump administration with astroturf groups, all with ties to the “philanthropic consulting firm Arabella Advisors. 2 3

Coalition

The Resilient Elections Network is a coalition consisting of left-of-center groups with the goal of changing state and federal election laws, including the Center for Tech and Civic Life, the Center for Secure and Modern Elections, and the Institute for Responsive Government. 4

The Resilient Elections Network is a coalition project, led by the Center for Secure and Modern Elections (CSME), which is a fiscally sponsored project of the New Venture Fund. 5 CSME Action, the group’s lobbying arm, is a project of the Sixteen Thirty Fund. 6 The Center for Secure and Modern Elections is a left-of-center advocacy group which promotes election law changes to state laws that automatically register voters at state agencies. 7 8

Financials

The Resilient Elections Network is a fiscally sponsored project of the Sixteen Thirty Fund. The Resilient Elections Network is a coalition led largely by the Center for Secure and Modern Elections, a fiscally sponsored project of Arabella Advisors’ New Venture Fund. 9 The New Venture Fund is a left-of-center lobbying and advocacy 501(c)(3) organization which, alongside its sister 501(c)(4) nonprofit the Sixteen Thirty Fund, provides funding and fiscal sponsorship services to center-left organizations, while both organizations are managed by the Washington, D.C.-based philanthropy consulting firm, Arabella Advisors. 10

In 2023, the Sixteen Thirty Fund reported total revenue of $181,353,252 and total expenses of $141,266,886, resulting in a net income of $40,086,366. The organization reported $139,942,052 in total assets and $23,615,231 in liabilities, leaving $116,326,821 in net assets at year-end. The vast majority of revenue, $176,676,637, or 97.4 percent, came from contributions. 11
