Raven Mission is a radical anti-Israel online platform promoting the public exposure (“doxing”) of individuals supportive of Israel in relation to the Israel-Hamas conflict. The group was launched less than a month after the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks on Israel as part of the Stop Zionist Hate network, which launched Raven Mission and TruWire in late 2023. The group is modeled after Canary Mission, a group that publicly exposes anti-Semitism and anti-Israel content, people, and organizations. Raven Mission targets individuals including private citizens sharing opinions on social media as well as politicians, organizations, and companies. Canary Mission identified anti-Israel activist Abdullah Hassan as the individual behind Stop Zionist Hate, Raven Mission, and Tru Wire. 1 2

Background

Raven Mission is a project of Stop Zionist Hate, an anti-Israel group that emerged about a month following the October 7, 2023, Hamas attacks on Israel. In December 2023, two new groups were formed by Stop Zionist Hate: Raven Mission and TruWire. Stop Zionist Hate posted to X (formerly Twitter) on December 16, 2023, stating “Introducing The Raven Mission, an affiliate project of SZH. We are dedicated to exposing groups and individuals who promote violence towards the Palestinian people and/or deny the Palestinian genocide. Founded in 2023, The Raven Mission was born in response to increasing Zionist extremism across the United States.” 1

Activity

The Raven Mission’s website states that the goal of the group is to highlight organizations and people supportive of Israel, mostly focusing on individuals in the United States. In determining which groups and people end up profiled on the Raven Mission website, the group states that “All individual and organizational profile subjects listed on this site have shown themselves to be/engage in either one or more of the following: Islamaphobia according to the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights’ definition; Supporters of genocide and/or ethnic cleansing; Violating the personal safety of Muslims or supporters of Palestine; Inciting violence or hatred towards Muslims, Palestinians, Arabs or supporters of Palestine.” 2

The group does not solicit donations and states that all costs for maintaining the website are “self-funded” but recommends individuals make contributions to Palestinian organizations including the Palestinian American Medical Association, the Palestinian Red Crescent, and the controversial United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA). 2

The group profiles a variety of private citizens in the United States who weigh in on the Israel-Hamas conflict on social media with one example being a Florida-based OB/GYN, highlighting his current and former employment. 3

Alleged Leadership

Canary Mission, a group that profiles anti-Semitic and anti-Israel extremist organizations and individuals after which Raven Mission was modeled, alleged that the anti-Israel activist Abdullah Hassan was the individual behind Stop Zionist Hate, TruWire, and Raven Mission. Canary Mission asserted that “Hassan was identified by Canary Mission through voice-matching a series of audio recordings. Hassan was an anonymous speaker from StopZionistHate in a Twitter Spaces chat hosted by UK-based Hamas supporter, Sulaiman Ahmed, co-hosted by Neo-Nazi Lucas Gage and far-right conspiracy theory account Khalissee.” Raven Mission denied that Hassan was behind the organizations. 1
