LIUNA Training and Education Fund is the training center of the Laborers’ International Union of North America (LIUNA), a construction industry labor union and a member the American Federation of Labor-Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO). [1]

LIUNA Training provides independent accreditation to LIUNA union members through its network of over 70 training centers throughout the U.S. and Canada. Members who complete programs with LINUA Training go on to apprentice and work for LIUNA partners. [2]

LIUNA Training receives substantial funding from membership dues, claiming over $7.3 million in 2018. [3] LIUNA Training is also the recipient of grants from the National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS), a division of the National Institutes of Health. These grants have gone to support LIUNA Training’s Hazardous Waste Worker Training Program (HWWTP) and its HAZMAT Disaster Preparedness Training Program (HDPTP) and to establish an Ebola/Infectious Disease (EID) program. [4]
