Coloradans for the Protection of Women and Children

Activities

Together with other registered issue committees like the Colorado Life Initiative, the Colorado Pregnancy Care Alliance / Know the Truth on 79, Grandma for Life, Right to Know CO, and Vote No on 79, Coloradans for the Protection of Women and Children opposed the passage of Colorado Amendment 79, the Right to Abortion and Health Insurance Coverage Initiative. ²

Coloradans for the Protection of Women and Children claimed that passage of Colorado Amendment 79 would force taxpayers to pay for abortions, violate the consciences of Coloradans who oppose abortion, and put teenage girls, women, and unborn babies at risk. It also claimed that supporters of Colorado Amendment 79 were deceiving voters into believing that the amendment was compassionate towards women. ¹

Colorado Amendment 79, which passed in the November 5, 2024 election, enacted a right to abortion and enshrines it into the Colorado Constitution. ³

Funding

Coloradans for the Protection of Women and Children was funded by donations from individuals, foundations, and businesses. Data from OpenSecrets confirm donations from people associated with Andrew Wommack Ministries ($30,000) ⁴  and Tactical Data Solutions Inc ($10,000). ⁵
