The Alasna Institute is a religious educational institution that provides different courses and classes for members of the Muslim community it claims will provide “…the information and skills they need to be empowered in their faith and dawah.” ¹ Several topics offered by the Institute include Muslim-focused courses on marriage, homeschooling, the history of different religions, homosexuality, and Islamophobia.” ²

Following the October 7, 2023 Hamas terror attack against the State of Israel, the Institute’s founder Daniel Haqiqatjou wrote a post on the Muslim Skeptic claiming that “[t]he actions by Hamas are not acts of terrorism; they are acts of resistance.” ³

Leadership

Daniel Haqiqatjou is an Islamic scholar and the founder of the Alasna Institute as well as online publication site Muslim Skeptic. ⁴  Following the October 7, 2023 Hamas terror attack against the State of Israel,  Haqiqatjou wrote a post on the Muslim Skeptic claiming that “[t]he actions by Hamas are not acts of terrorism; they are acts of resistance.” ³

Umm Khalid is a senior instructor at the Alasna Institute and the wife of the institute’s founder Daniel Haqiqatjou. ^{5 6}
