    Background and Activity

The 411 Collective describes itself as “an unincorporated non-profit association of community-oriented, socially engaged artists, and organizers based in Washington, DC.” The group supports far-left political stances through mural projects, community workshops, and other art projects. 2

The group has hosted events supporting a variety of far-left stances including an event titled “Deport Trump” to protest the second inauguration of President Donald Trump in 2025, participated in the People’s Climate March, hosted an Abolish ICE event, and hosted an event supporting defunding the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C. The group has also hosted far-left pro-Palestine and anti-Israel protests titled “Free Palestine/Landback.” 2

In 2025, the group launched a mural tour titled No Walls No Wars that planned to display anti-immigration enforcement murals in cities across the United States and ending in the border city of Tijuana, Mexico. The project aims to “send a strong message of solidarity and support for immigrant communities and the people of Palestine.” The mural tour was inspired by a previous event hosted by the group at the Standing Rock Reservation. 4

The group launched a GoFundMe to fund its mural tour, which included performances from far-left musical acts, calling on donors to “Step into a journey that amplifies voices representing a collective & vibrant challenge to oppressive imperialist walls and ongoing capitalist wars.” 5

Most of the group’s activity includes displaying posters in public areas with pro-Gaza and anti-immigration enforcement messages, among other far-left topics. The group’s online poster gallery states that “The featured designs are part of an ongoing collection that have been screen printed and displayed at our initial community events in Baltimore, Richmond, and DC. In conjunction they have also been wheatpasted in large mosaics of multiple public street art galleries in each city, as well as with an addition from the Just Seeds Collective. Join Us as the collection grows with new designs and more cities as we embark on Tour from DC to Tijuana.” 6

    Alliance for Global Justice

The 411 Collective is affiliated with the Alliance for Global Justice (AfGJ), a controversial fiscal sponsor that supports numerous radical-left causes and activist groups. AfGJ has sponsored groups with alleged ties to foreign militant organizations and far-left movements across Latin America and the Middle East. In January 2023, the Washington Examiner reported that the Ford Foundation ceased all grantmaking to AFGJ after “years of warnings” about the organization’s ties to a Palestinian group with terrorist designations under U.S. law. 7 3

The 411 Collective calls itself an unincorporated nonprofit. The organization is not an independent nonprofit and likely operates under AfGJ’s legal and tax status. It does not file independent tax returns with the Internal Revenue Service, publish audited financial statements, or disclose its internal governance. The group’s revenue sources, expenditures, and budget scale remain unclear. 1 2
