Women Against Military Madness (WAMM) is an anti-war organization founded in 1982 in Minneapolis, Minnesota claiming to oppose, “U.S. militarism and involvement in wars.” 1
Positions of WAMM
Women Against Military Madness (WAMM) is connected to DivestMN, a group that promotes protesting the State of Israel by pressuring the Minnesota State Board of Investment to divest “public assets belonging to entities complicit in and/or profiting from Israel’s apartheid regime.” 2
WAMM has held events in support of Julian Assange of Wikileaks. 3
WAMM has supported the removal of Cuba from the State Sponsors of Terrorism list, through the group’s Solidarity Committee of the Americas (SCOTA) and the MN Cuba Committees. 4
WAMM has protested U.S. aid to Israel, calls for the end of foreign aid to Israel and a ceasefire in the Israel-Hamas conflict that followed the Hamas terrorist attacks against the State of Israel on October 7, 2023. 5
WAMM was among the endorser organizations who signed in support of the Coalition Against U.S. Foreign Military Bases. 6
As of 2024, WAMM has created a Haiti Justice Committee and held a solidarity rally in June of 2024 entitled “Hands off Haiti!” The rally was held over claims of the U.S orchestrating “a multinational military occupation of Haiti.” 7
In 2024, WAMM held its 17th annual Walk Against Weapons of War, targeting U.S.-based weapons manufacturer Lockheed Martin. 8
WAMM has publicly stated its opposition to the war in Ukraine, calling for ceasefire in the region and peace negotiations. 9

Women Against Military Madness (WAMM) operates several committees which the group claims are the center of its operations, stating they “are our organization!” 10 WAMM has 10 committees on which volunteers work on, including End Domestic Militarism (EDM), End Military Madness Against the Earth (EMMAE), End War Committee (formerly the WAMM Iraq Committee), Families Against Military Madness (FAMM), Middle East Committee (MEC), Movie Action Group, Solidarity Committee on the Americas (SCOTA), St. Joan of Arc (SJA)/WAMM Peacemakers Committee, Tackling Torture at the Top (T3), and its Standing Committees. 11

According to its 2022 990 form, Women Against Military Madness (WAMM) held revenues of $113,773 and assets of $272,898. The John P and Eleanor R Yackel Foundation donated $4,000 to Women Against Military Madness in 2018. 12
People
Robyn Harbison, a pro-abortion activist, is the executive director of Women Against Military Madness (WAMM). Harbison helped to organize the University of Minnesota chapter of Students for a Democratic Society (SDS), a radical-left student organization. 13
