    Activities

Vision Mexico intends to impact society through technology, education, and civic participation by individuals and through the creation of social networks. In its efforts to reduce extreme poverty in Mexico, Vision Mexico offers grants to the Vamos Mexico Foundation and Centro Fox, both of which are affiliated with Vision Mexico’s co-founders. Vision Mexico also conducts programs in the U.S. with the intention of strengthening civil society in Mexico and enhancing programs in Mexico that are dedicated to education and health. 1

Vision Mexico claims that a global effort is needed to eradicate poverty in Mexico, as it has become a worldwide problem. Vision Mexico states that the lack of access to resources and jobs in Mexico has caused Mexicans to relocate to places where they can improve their living conditions and better take care of themselves and their families. Vision Mexico aims to instead empower Mexicans to break the poverty cycle through job training and education, eliminating the need for relocation. 1

To improve quality of life, Vision Mexico’s health program provides support to children with disabilities and distributes wheelchairs to people with motor disabilities. Vision Mexico partners with MannaRelief to distribute milk for children to support health in low-income communities. Vision Mexico also partners with the University of California at San Diego to send young people to an academic program in the U.S. to strengthen personal and social growth, to ultimately have a positive impact on their communities at home. 3

    Funding

Vision Mexico is funded by donations from individuals, foundations, and businesses. Tax filings confirm donations from the Neo-Life Family Foundation ($50,000 in 2022), 4 the Conrad N. Hilton Foundation ($50,000 in 2019), 5 and the Buum Foundation ($45,000 in 2020). 6
