Progressive Victory Action

Progressive Victory Action is the advocacy arm of the left-of-center PAC Progressive Victory. The organization works to “actively support civic engagement and policy advocacy for social media creators and their audiences.” 1 It was founded in 2023 by Sam Drzymala, a left-of-center political strategist who also founded Progressive Victory and at Dawn Campaigns. 2 It has received funding from the Rise Action Fund, Future Forward USA Action, and Tides Advocacy. 3

    Leadership

    Sam Drzymala is the founder and executive director of Progressive Victory Action. He has been heavily involved in left-of-center politics, including working for then-U.S. Senator Barack Obama’s 2008 presidential campaign, former U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill’s (D-MO) office, former U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan’s (D-MO) office, and U.S. Senator Cory Booker’s (D-NJ) office. Drzymala has also worked for political consulting firms, including the Clover Park Group and Bully Pulpit International, before going on to create Progressive Victory and Progressive Victory Action in 2022 and 2023, respectively. 2

    Cameron Jones was the director of operations and a board member of Progressive Victory Action until March 2026. 4 Jones worked as the director of operations for Progressive Victory and Progressive Victory Action from September 2022 to March 2025. In 2026, Jones left Progressive Victory Action and started working as a field director for the Northeast Bexar County Democrats in Texas. Before moving into the political field, Jones was a social work intern for Youth Oasis Children’s Shelter and General Behavioral Health Services in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. 5

    Partner Organization

    Progressive Victory Action is funded and run by the same individuals as Progressive Victory. Since Progressive Victory Action is the partner group to Progressive Victory, it subscribes to the same policy program, including ranked-choice voting, using taxpayer funds to create tuition-free colleges, implementing the Green New Deal, closing the Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency, and increasing taxpayer funds invested into Medicare until there are no more for-profit health care companies. It also supports anti-Israel ideologies, advocates a $25 minimum wage at all publicly traded companies, and wants to block politicians from trading on the stock market while in office and bar them from lobbying or consulting after leaving office. 6

    Progressive Victory Action’s primary operation is providing financial support to the main organization Progressive Victory. Progressive Victory Action says that it “builds the infrastructure for media creators  and viewers in the online livestreaming space.” 7 In 2024, Progressive Victory Action reported total expenses over $1.5 million, with $207,934 going directly to information technology investments.  8

    Actions

    In 2023, Progressive Victory Action spent $2,592 to encourage “mobilized young people to help elect Judge Janet Protasiewicz to the Wisconsin Supreme Court.” 9 Judge Protasiewicz generally votes left-of-center, and in her 2023 campaign, she received over $8.8 million from the Wisconsin Democratic Party. This meant that she received about two thirds of every dollar the state Democratic Party invested into the election and totaled more than five times the amount raised by her opponent. Progressive Victory Action invested a comparatively small amount, but Judge Protasiewicz was elected in 2023. 10

    Finances

    In 2024, the Rise Action Fund granted Progressive Victory Action $14,136 for get-out-the-vote campaigns. 11 The Rise Action Fund is a left-of-center group that invests in youth get-out-the-vote campaigns on college campuses all over the country. 12

    In 2024, Future Forward USA Action granted Progressive Victory Action two grants totaling $650,000 for general support. 13 Future Forwards USA Action is a left-of-center grantmaking organization. 14

    In 2024, Tides Advocacy granted Progressive Victory Action $100,000 for civic participation efforts. 15 Tides Advocacy is a left-of-center grantmaking organization. 16
