The Pittsburgh Foundation is a community foundation established in 1945 to aid the Pittsburgh area with philanthropic grants.
Funding
Social Justice Fund
In 2017, the Pittsburgh Foundation created the “Social Justice Fund” intended to “advance social justice in our region.” The fund targets grants to left-of-center groups promoting “issues like police brutality, mass incarceration, gun violence, and immigrant rights.”1
