The Global Cyber Alliance (GCA) is an international, cross-sector effort dedicated to eradicating cyber risk. Founded in 2015, GCA emerged from a collaboration between the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, the Center for Internet Security, and the City of London Police. 1
Overview
The Global Cyber Alliance was founded in 2015 by the Center for Internet Security, the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office and the City of London Police with the goal of proactively preventing cybercrime. 2 During his tenure as District Attorney, Cyrus Vance Jr. oversaw high-profile investigations involving figures such as President Donald Trump and Trump administration advisor Steve Bannon. 3
Leadership
Philip Reitinger has served as President and chief executive officer of the Global Cyber Alliance since 2015. Before joining GCA, Reitinger was the director of the National Cyber Security Center at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. He also worked as Sony’s senior vice president and chief information security officer and as chief trustworthy infrastructure strategist at Microsoft. Reitinger holds a bachelor of engineering in electrical engineering and computer science and a J.D. from Yale Law School. 4
According to the organization’s tax forms, Anastasia Press is the treasurer, Scott Charney is the chairman, and Daniel Owen is the product manager. 5
Partners
The Global Cyber Alliance collaborates with a wide range of partners, including global corporations, nonprofit organizations, and cybersecurity groups, to develop practical tools and resources for reducing cyber risk. In June 2024, GCA partnered with Amazon to launch CyberFlex, an online platform aimed at helping 18- to 25-year-olds recognize and avoid scams and cybercrimes. 6 Other key partners include Meta (parent company of Facebook), Microsoft, Mastercard, Deloitte, the National Democratic Institute (NDI), the Global Resilience Federation, the Center for Internet Security, and the Global Forum on Cyber Expertise (GFCE). 7 8

In 2022, GCA reported receiving $4,239,397 in grants and public contributions. The organization’s total revenue for the year was $3,818,005, while its expenses amounted to $5,385,489. GCA’s assets totaled $5,471,778 in 2022. 5
