Georgia Conservation Voters (GCV; sometimes Georgia League of Conservation Voters) is a left-of-center environmentalist voter-mobilization group based in Georgia. It focuses on advocating the election of politicians who champion climate policies and environmental regulations. 1 2
It is the Georgia state affiliate of the League of Conservation Voters (LCV), a national advocacy organization for left-leaning environmentalist policy. 3
It is the political advocacy counterpart of the Georgia Conservation Voters (GCV) Education Fund and the Super PAC known as the Georgia Conservation Voters (GCV) Action Fund. 4 5
Activities
In 2024, the Georgia League of Conservation Voters reported spending $878,089 on “voter education,” which it defined as both “mobiliz[ing] Georgians to advocate for public policies that advance a more just and sustainable future” as well as the nonprofit’s efforts to “hold elected leaders accountable for their actions and vote on climate and environmental justice.” 6
That year, it also spent $163,385 on efforts to endorse and promote political candidates pursuing climate agendas, $108,707 on lobbying officials to implement “sustainable climate and environmental justice policies,” and $17,996 on scorecards to grade public officials’ voting records on “energy, climate change, public health, public lands[,] wildlife protection, and spending on environmental programs.” 7
GCV promotes “100 percent carbon-free power generation” for the State of Georgia and has a campaign to pressure Georgia politicians to adopt the goal of reaching 100 percent weather-dependent energy by 2050. 8

In 2024, the Georgia League of Conservation Voters reported revenues of $1,832,187, total expenses of $1,586,816, and net assets of $1,315,148. 9
In 2014, the Georgia League of Conservation Voters received $20,000 from the NEO Philanthropy Action Fund. 10
In 2023, GCV received $100,000 from the Sixteen Thirty Fund for its “environmental programs.” 11
From 2022 to 2024, GCV received a total of $235,000 from the Energy Action Fund. 12 13 14
In 2024, the Georgia League of Conservation Voters made a grant of $25,000 to the Black Voters Matter Fund for “climate change advocacy” and a grant of $70,000 to the Georgia Conservation Voters Action Fund. 15
Leadership
As of 2026, Krista Brewer was the president of the Georgia League of Conservation Voters’ board of directors. She was a primary figure in the creation of the left-of-center nonprofit group ProGeorgia and in reviving Georgia Conservation Voters, which was originally a political action committee that operated in the 1970s. 16 17
As of 2026, Brionte McCorkle was the executive director of GCV. She previously worked as the director of engagement at EcoDistricts (which was acquired by Partnership for Southern Equity in 2022) and as the assistant director of the Georgia chapter of the Sierra Club. 4 18
