End It for Good is a health advocacy group that promotes alternative methods to treat addiction as well as advocating against using prosecution to combat drug abuse. End It for Good is a coalition member of the Cannabis Freedom Alliance, the Listen First Project, and Safer From Harm. 1
Activities
End It for Good was founded in 2019 by Christan foster mother Christina Dent. The group claims to promote educating and engaging with individuals on how to use alternative health-related methods to treat addition and drug use 1 through providing articles, reports, and videos. 2 The group also produces a biweekly podcast, called End It for Good hosted by Cristina Dent, which features interviews including testimonials from law enforcement officers on the War on Drugs. 3
Funding
End It for Good is funded by donations from individuals, foundations, and businesses. Tax filings show that it has received donations from several organizations including the Susquehanna Foundation ($150,000 in 2023), 4 DonorsTrust ($75,000 in 2022), 5 and the Atlas Economic Research Foundation ($65,000 in 2023). 6
People
Bryan Mauk is the CEO of End It for Good. Mauk formerly worked as a chief innovation officer at PCs for People and vice president of workforce development at the Lutheran Metropolitan Ministry. 7
Christina Dent is the founder and president of End It for Good and the author of the book Curious: A Foster Mom’s Discovery of an Unexpected Solution to Drugs and Addiction. 8
Beau Rudder is the chair of the board of End It for Good and a criminal defense attorney. 9 Rudder is a regional director of the Bail Project and a founding member of the Mississippi Bail Fund Collective. Rudder formerly worked as a director of training at the Mississippi Office of the State Public Defender and is a past president of the Mississippi Public Defenders Association. 10
Carey Varnado is the board attorney of End It For Good and a partner at the law firm Montague Pittman & Varnado, P.A. 11
