Direct Activities
Companies for Causes has a long-standing partnership with Eastern Senior High School, a public high school in Washington, D.C. Together, the two institutions started the All Roads Lead to Graduation project to prepare students for college and give them career counselling. 3
Grantmaking
As of 2024, Companies for Causes claimed it was providing fiscal support to the Impact Finance Center, Tactivate, the Center for Spiritual and Civic Innovation, CS 4 Philly, the DC Civic Innovation Council, the We’re Behind You Scholarship, All Roads Lead to Eastern, Local Mid Atlantic, the Ernest E. Just Life Society, Gifts of Love for Ukraine, and Surviving Our Ultimate Loss (SOUL). 1
Gifts of Love for Ukraine is split into two projects: Youth Movement “Be Free” and the Lviv Regional Clinical Perinatal Center. The Youth Movement aims to provide “holistic” education, nutrition, “wellness training,” and support for families. In addition to providing humanitarian aid, it trains “qualified staff” to administer “high-quality emotional and psychological first aid.” 4
The Lviv Regional Clinical Perinatal Center aims to help Ukrainian women with pregnancy complications. It claims that pregnant mothers are at greater risk due to the ongoing war with Russia. It claims this center is “one of the last fully-functioning healthcare facilities of its kind in the country,” and asks supporters to donate to renovate the hospital’s basement and upgrade equipment. 4
The DC Civic Innovation Council aims to achieve “transformative social and economic outcomes” for Washington, D.C. It plans to do this by connecting community leaders together through vast social networks throughout the District. 5
The Impact Finance Center is a nonprofit organization that works with several universities to train and enable people to become philanthropists and connect with investors for social change. 6
