Christian Community Foundation (CCF) of Memphis and the Mid-South (shortened to the Christian Community Foundation and formerly called the Hope Christian Community Foundation) is a donor-advised fund that provides grants to charities, ministries, and other nonprofit organizations across the United States. 1

The Christian Community Development Corporation and the Freeman Family Foundation are both listed as related tax-exempt organizations of CCF. 2 The Grace Foundation of Memphis is a former related organization of CCF. 3

Grantmaking

In 2022, the Christian Community Foundation gave over $84 million in grants including donations to the Strategic Resource Group ($7 million), Signatry ($6.755 million), the New Hope Christian Academy ($2.92 million), and City Leadership ($2.2 million). Grants of $1 million or more were given to the Moore-West Center for Disciple Formation ($1.75 million), the Seed Company ($1.62 million), the Memphis Leadership Foundation ($1.29 million), Agape Child and Family Services ($1 million), and Young Life ($1 million). 4

Funding

The Christian Community Foundation is funded by donations from individuals, foundations, and businesses. While CCF does not disclose its donors, tax filings confirm donations from the Christian Community Development Corporation ($24.7 million in 2022), 5 the West Family Foundation ($2.32 million in 2020), 6 and the National Christian Charitable Foundation ($836,200 in 2023). 7

Rex Jones is the president and chief executive officer of the Christian Community Foundation. 8
