Background
The Charles H. Revson Foundation was started by businessman Charles Revson, who founded the Revlon Inc. cosmetic Corportation. In 1956, Revson started the foundation, contributing funds that would later be donated to the Jewish community in New York City through schools, hospitals, and universities. The Foundation became endowed following his death in 1975. 1
