The Progress Report is a project of the Center for American Progress Action Fund (CAP Action), a left-of-center advocacy organization established by longtime Clinton family confidant John Podesta. The publication serves as CAP Action’s daily newsletter and says (as of April 2020) that it provides “the most important resistance updates and actions in your inbox”1 as part of a comprehensive communications strategy totaling in excess of $8,000,000. 2

Structure

The Progress Report, which serves as the daily newsletter for the left-wing Center for American Progress Action Fund (CAP Action), seeks to mobilize left-leaning constituencies as part of a comprehensive communications strategy totaling in excess of $8,000,000. 3

The Report itself covers a variety of items as they relate to CAP Action’s legislative and advocacy agendas. Each Report is comprised of approximately 500 words, and laden with hyperlinks which often redirect readers to other CAP Action publications. 4

Previous editions of the Report are archived on CAP Action’s website. 5
