The Berghof Institute for Conflict Studies or the Berghof Foundation is an independent, non-governmental and non-profit organization that supports efforts to prevent political and social violence and achieve sustainable peace through conflict transformation.1 The organization was established by Georg Zundel, a German chemist who helped both the East and West powers during the Cold War.2

Donor organizations include the Ploughshares Fund, a non-profit organization that created positive media messaging about the Iran nuclear deal, eventually resulting in its passing.3
