The Anne T. and Robert M. Bass Foundation regularly makes multi-million-dollar gifts to elite universities. Past gifts include $20 million to Yale University (Robert’s alma mater), $30 million to the Stanford Graduate School of Business, and $50 million to Duke University. 6

In 2019, the foundation contributed to many health and welfare organizations, giving $50,000 each to Presbyterian Night Shelter and  Boys and Girls Clubs in Fort Worth, and to cultural institutions, including $4.5 million to Texas Ballet Theater in Fort Worth and $50,000 to the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History. 7

Anne Bass is the director and president of the foundation. 8 She is an American philanthropist who is married to billionaire entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist Robert Bass.

Robert Bass is the director and vice president of the foundation. 9 He is listed at number550 on the Forbes Billionaires 2021 list with an estimated net worth of $5 billion as of August 4, 2021. 10
