Taking place in 2014 the first People’s Climate March was attended by roughly 300,000 demonstrators including left-of-center New York mayor Bill de Blasio, after which the People’s Climate Movement was organized. The People’s Climate Marches organized crowds throughout the United States in order to pressure politicians into giving their support to massive taxpayer-funded efforts to address climate change.
