Nominations and Appointments

Marcia Fudge is Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. She served as a member of the U.S. House of Representatives for Ohio’s 11th Congressional District from 2008-2021. She also formerly served as the mayor of Warrensville Heights, Ohio, is the past National President of Delta Sigma Theta sorority, and is the former Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus.1

Alexis Pelosi is Senior Advisor for Climate in the Office of the Secretary. Before joining the Biden Administration, she was a practicing attorney at the law firms of Pelosi Law Group from 2011-2021, Sheppard Mullin Richter & Hampton from 2007-2011, Steefel, Levitt & Weiss from 2006-2007 and 2002-2004, and Morrison & Foerster from 2000-2002. She was also a deputy city attorney for Oakland, California from 2004-2006.2 She has served on the board of the San Francisco Bay Area Planning and Urban Research Association (SPUR).3

Alexis Pelosi is the niece-in-law of U.S. Representative Nancy Pelosi (D-CA).4

Adrianne Todman is Deputy Secretary of Housing and Urban Development. She was most recently the Chief Executive Officer of the National Association of Housing and Redevelopment Officials. Before that, she served as Executive Director of the District of Columbia Housing Authority, as a policy aide in the Office of Public and Indian Housing and the Office of the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and as a legislative director for then Congressman Ron de Lugo (D-VI). She has served on policy and working groups at the Brookings Institution and the Urban Institute, as Vice President of the Council of Large Public Housing Authorities, as a trustee at the National Housing Conference, and as a trustee on the Smith College Board of Trustees and the Alumnae Association Board.5 She has served on the board of directors of the Housing and Development Law Institute.6

Ben J. Winter is Deputy Assistant Secretary for Policy Development.7 He formerly led housing and economic opportunity initiatives in Los Angeles for the California Community Foundation. Before that, he was the Chief Housing Officer for Los Angeles mayor Eric Garcetti. During the Obama Administration, he served as a senior analyst at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.8
