Madison Strategies was founded by Gary Marx, the president of the Concord Fund (formerly the Judicial Crisis Network), and Jason Miyares, a Republican politician who served as attorney general of Virginia from 2022 to 2026.     Madison Strategies is a Republican-aligned political consulting firm that works with candidates and causes throughout the United States. Madison Strategies’ services include public relations, crisis management, political consulting, and strategic development.  2

    In an October 5, 2025 article, the left-of-center online investigative journalism outlet Sludge reported that Madison Strategies has been a paid consultant for multiple groups affiliated with right-of-center legal activist Leonard Leo. 3 Tax filings confirm that both the Concord Fund and The 85 Fund have used Madison Strategies for consulting services in 2023, noting that Gary Marx is a 35% stakeholder in the company. 4  5

    The Sludge article also reported that Leonard Leo and his network had influenced the political career of Republican politician Jason Miyares, who served as attorney general of Virginia from 2022 to 2026, through each of their connections with Madison Strategies and Gary Marx. Most notably, the nonprofit organization American Miracle, which promoted Miyares on social media and used his “American miracle” rhetoric, received a $50,000 donation from Right Vote in 2023, which receives funding from Leo’s Rule of Law Trust. Marx sits on the boards of both American Miracle and Right Vote.  3

    Gary Marx is cofounder and president of Madison Strategies and president of the Concord Fund (formerly the Judicial Crisis Network). Marx is a former executive director of the Faith and Freedom Coalition, a former vice president at Century Strategies, and a former executive director of the Judicial Crisis Network. Marx formerly held high level positions with the presidential campaigns of Scott Walker and Marco Rubio, and worked as the conservative coalitions director for Mitt Romney’s 2008 presidential campaign. 2 Marx also sits on the boards of The 85 Fund, American Miracle, and Right Vote, which along with the Concord Fund, are reportedly affiliated with right-of-center legal activist Leonard Leo. 6

    Travis Korson is a senior vice president at Madison Strategies. Korson formerly worked as director of public policy at the Frontiers of Freedom Institute, a field director at the Faith and Freedom Coalition, and a manager of public affairs at the Center for Security Policy. 7 Korson is a former national committeeman for the DC Young Republicans and has held various leadership roles within the District of Columbia Republican Party. 2

    Republican politician Jason Miyares is a cofounder and former partner at Madison Strategies. 1 Miyares served as the attorney general of Virginia from 2022 until January 2026 and is a former member of the Virginia House of Delegates. 8 According to records with the Virginia Public Access Project, Madison Strategies has donated $124,583 to Miyares’ campaigns. 9
